The Research Chemist position will report to the R&amp;D Manger and will work closely with other laboratory staff and other department staff.<\/p><p><strong>Major Responsibilities\/Accountabilities:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Research and development with primary emphasis on product development of Fire Safety Products<\/li><li>Design and conduct research that addresses customer needs and supports Perimeter Solutions business objectives<\/li><li>Characterize and evaluate competitive products to identify potential threats and new product and\/or acquisition opportunities<\/li><li>Document and report all testing procedures, results and observations in a laboratory notebook<\/li><li>Perform laboratory tests according to written procedures<\/li><li>Interface with manufacturing for new product development that will include product trials and scale up<\/li><li>Provide technical support for customer-focused projects and assist in resolving product quality issues<\/li><li>Work closely and communicate technical information effectively with other departments and teams within Perimeter Solutions<\/li><li>Provide documentation through written reports<\/li><li>ESH compliance<\/li><li>Must be able to travel<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Experience\/Skills Required:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Must have a Bachelor\u2019s in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 5 years\u2019 experience in chemicals industry<\/li><li>Master\u2019s with 3 or more years preferred<\/li><li>PhD with 2 or more years preferred<\/li><li>Minimum seven years of experience in chemical industry with minimum five years working on product development and scale up.<\/li><li>Excellent laboratory skills<\/li><li>Experienced in patent language and writing.<\/li><li>Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific methods<\/li><li>Experienced in the Stage Gate process and project management<\/li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills- good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions<\/li><li>Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and creative skills<\/li><li>Demonstrated ability to work and contribute to a team setting<\/li><li>Experienced in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.)<\/li><li>Experienced in writing technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Benefits:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p><p>Perimeter Solutions offers a variety of health and wellbeing benefit programs.
